Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor known for his part in the well-known television series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. The first time he became interested in acting was at the time of his college years. He completed his acting studies at University of Colorado at Boulder. He has appeared in both films and television, but it was his smaller-screen roles that earned him fame as well as a large fan base. The ability of his characters to appear from both sides of the law has captured the attention of audiences. In his very first TV series in which he was the lead of a killer. Later, he was able to play the part of for an NYPD Detective. His small-screen performances were rewarded with numerous Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. His piercingly blue eyes his visage are believed as the most attractive feature. The eyes are also seen as his trademark and are credited with helping him portray characters with rough edges yet likable. He was named in People's magazine's list of Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
