Alana De La Garza has made a name for herself in the world of TV. Her parents are both Irish and Mexican American. Her birthplace was in Ohio's Columbus on December 26 in 1976. In the next few years, she moved to Texas. In Texas, she started a new career in the field of physical therapy. De La Garza moved from Texas to Orlando Florida and took on different roles as an actor in independent local films, as well as worldwide commercials. Small roles didn't deter her from discovering that she enjoyed acting. She then moved to New York in 2001 and got her first job in acting on the soap as Rosa Santos on All My Children, a daytime soap. Through the early part of 2000, she played small roles in JAG Las Vegas and Two and a Half Men. Her debut major series was on The Mountain. She was Maria Serrano and De La Garza had the privilege to share the screen with some famous TV actors such as Barbara Hershey Oliver Hudson Penn Badgley Anson Mount and Mitch Pileggi. In 2006, she was cast as A.D.A. in Law & Order. Connie Rubirosa. The actress appeared on the show 85 times. The character she played on her Law & Order: LA spinoff was only a few episodes. De La Garza received nominations for a variety of awards including the award for Best Supporting Actress on TV from the Imagen Foundation Awards as well as a number of ALMA Award nominations. In 2008 she took home an Impact Award for Outstanding Performance in a Dramatic Television Series from the National Hispanic Media Coalition. De La Garza landed a part-time role in CSI Miami a short time after. She played Marisol Delko's wife and David Caruso's character Horatio Caine. As Dr. Lena Solis, she was most recently seen in NBC's dark comedy Do No Harm. Alyssa Milano was cancelled by NBC in the first two episodes.
