Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar, an Indian-born British American artist and a sitarist is best known for her songs. She was first within her age bracket to be awarded the British House of Commons Staff. Anoushka is a new star on the rise in Indian sitar. She is both the daughter and pupil of Ravi Shankar. She was born London in 1982. In the first few years of her life she was split in London New Delhi. At New Delhi, she made her debut at just thirteen years of age. Anoushka's career does not only comprise music. She also published Bapi, the Love of My Life in 2002. It is a biographical work that is a tribute to her dad Ravi Shankar. In addition, she has appeared in movies in 2003. She was in the movie Dance Like a Man where she plays the role of a teenage Bharat Natyam dancer. Anoushka shankar is an English born musician who spent her childhood split between London, Delhi and California.
